This is my life long purpose to build confidence in the kids in our Swim school. My husband and I have run a Swim school for over 15 years and been involved in swimming for nearly 25 years. In all of these years the biggest goal for our Team was to empower confidence in and out of the pool. To empower kids to love the water and the life skills that go hand in hand with swimming. The last 5 years I have moved into Life Coaching to help more people, I realized if I can help Mums they I can help kids in the process too. I want to build resilience, character strengths. CONFIDENCE and self-esteem. So I went on a journey to find the tools that worked and now to share with you. We all dream of being Healthy and having a healthy Mind and Body for ourselves and having Healthy Teens that are confident, healthy and Free to love learning with curiosity.
When we get stressed or anxious the Amygdala – Part of the brain that protects us, shuts down the Pre frontal cortex – the thinking part and the Hippocampus our memory part so that it is ready to Fight, Flight or Freeze when in Danger. This may have worked when we were cavemen being chased by bears. But our brain cannot tell the difference from real danger or perceived danger eg. being hit by a car or hearing an upsetting remark from a friend.
By understanding how our Mind works we can Empower ourselves and our Teens with Creative Mindset Tools to help calm our mind, we can help them reduce the stress or anxiety and get back to enjoying life. Step into our most powerful life.

I hope that by writing a weekly blog post to help mums on their journey of Creating a Daily Self-Care Practice that I can empower you to create your own Mindful Mindset and start setting goals and achieving them to Create the life of your dreams.
Each week I plan to take our Mums on a journey and start to create a community of Mindful Mums who are on a Creative Self-Care Mission.
We know how scary this can be, trying to fit one more thing into our already busy lives, but I honestly believe that finding 15 minutes for ourselves to fill our own cups allows us to pour so much more into the lives of our family.
So let’s go on this adventure together and Empower our Kids to have a Mindful Mindset and we lead by example with our Creative Daily Self-Care Practice....
