I retreat to the outdoors whenever I feel unsettled.

Nature has a way of soothing my soul. Going outside is a good way for me to re-center myself and calm my anxieties.

Being in the midst of nature allows a calming quietness to envelop me. When I take some time away from human interaction, I am able to think clearly. Having clear thoughts helps me to relax and figure out my next steps.

When something is bothering me, I go for a walk in the woods. Being alone with the trees allows me to forget what is troubling me and just breathe.

When I allow myself the time to experience the crisp, natural air, I am more accepting of things. I leave the outside environment feeling a sense of gratitude. The lightness of the outdoors eases whatever burdens I am carrying.

The sharp colors of the plants and flowers are breathtaking. They remind me that there is much beauty in the world to be thankful for.

When I take a moment to focus on the beauty around me instead of myself, I forget my cares.

There is more to life than dealing with current circumstances. The natural beauty shows me the importance of taking time for other things and other people.

Today, natural environments are a haven for me whenever I feel uneasy. I am happy to be surrounded by the things of nature that renew me. My life is richer and my soul is at peace, because I am inspired by the outdoors.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What are some of my favorite outdoor locations? 2. How am I impacted when I see spring flowers in bloom? 3. How else am I able to set my mind at ease?
